"The Trouble with Lou is a film made by Teddy Newton and Gregor Joackim. Teddy used to work with Michael Giacchino (and is the character designer for Pixar's The Incredibles) at Disney, and since they have remained close friends over the years, it was only fitting for Michael to do the music. The film is told in an old 1950's style Hygiene film and its score consists of old library music and an original score by Michael to better suit the more dramatic moments as the film developed. However, since most of the scoring took place during a hectic time schedule, I was asked to help score some of the earlier more incidental cues. The old 50's "melodramatic innocence" style is very intentional and carries throughout the entire film. I encourage everyone to head over to Michael's site and check out some of the ingenious music he has written for the more emotionally weighted moments of the film." - Chris
